A Little About Us
How it all started…
In 2013, two best friends and neighbors, Dahlia Davis and Monteigne Brown, made the dream of what is now known as Chive Talk’n Catering come to life.
Chive Talk’n started out in a family kitchen. Casseroles were made at home while the kids were in school, and friends and customers would grab their weekly orders out of a refrigerator behind the garage. Whether it was soups, casseroles, or desserts, everyone knew exactly which driveway to pull into to pick up their meals. One night, Dahlia and Monteigne had the idea to go into business together.
Today, with their commercial kitchen and a beautiful storefront on South Mobile Street, friends old and new stop by to pick up dinner or book catering for their next event. Chive Talk’n grew from selling just soups and casseroles to adding appetizers, breakfast items, entrees, butcher shop meats, fresh seafood, sides, desserts, and grab-and-go lunches to the menu. You’ll even find an assortment of beer, wine, and hostess gifts. It’s truly the one-stop-shop that everyone is talk’n about!

Buckhead Meat Partnership
We proudly carry Buckhead Meats out of Atlanta. Buckhead Meats is synonymous with quality, consistency, and integrity. They source, age, cut, and deliver top-quality meat products to us weekly. We provide a wide selection of certified Angus beef from 6 or 8-ounce filets, rib-eye steaks, and bone-in rib-eye steaks. We also carry fresh Australian range Rack of Lamb, 10-ounce center-cut pork chops, and 14-ounce veal chops.
Fresh Seafood Partnership
We carry an array of local seafood from Fresh Seafood out of Daphne. Locally owned and operated, Fresh Seafood provides us with the finest and freshest seafood around, often only hours off the boat! We use the same seafood as some of the most popular restaurants along the Gulf Coast. Come in, and you’ll find anything from crab cakes to ahi tuna steaks, stuffed crabs, grouper, and red snapper (seasonally, of course).
Curated Wine Selection
Need a full-bodied red to go with your ribeye? A lighter sauvignon blanc would be nice with the tuna, but no one wants to add another stop on the way home. Well, don’t worry, we have the wine too! We carry an array of wines and champagnes and some of the most popular labels, including Ramsay, Meomi, La Crema, Justin, Windwalker Family, Veuve Clicquot, and Chandon.
Fun Gift Selection
In our effort to be a true one-stop-shop, we offer a wide selection of hostess gifts, serving ware, spices and seasonings. When you come in, you’ll find Golden Rabbit Enamelware cookware, swedish dishcloths, Killer Pecans, Southern Farms Honey, Southern Flavor Seasoning, Rob Berglin’s Shube Sauce, printed cups and tumblers, and an assortment of fun cocktail napkins.
